Metaphor: A tide based wave receives its energy from the gravitational force of the moon as it circles the earth. There is a steady predictable nature to this type of wave. The moon circles the earth at a steady pace and provides direction and focus for the waves. A tide wave, like other waves, can combine with existing waves to make them even more powerful. In the same way the learning and knowledge from ETEC 500 provided a focus and direction to my energy in the MET program. I used this knowledge throughout the MET program, and it will continue to help me in the future with my own research and examining of other research.
